Canada - U.S. Fulbright Program
The Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program is a joint, bi-national program supported by the Government of Canada through the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the Government of the United States through the United States Department of State. The Canada - U.S. Fulbright Program strives to enhance understanding between Canada and the United States by providing grants to the best Canadian and American graduate students, faculty, professionals and independent researchers to conduct research, study or lecture in the other country. This educational exchange contributes to the development of our future leaders and enables scholars of each country to tackle important contemporary issues in the public debate. -
Canada-U.S. Legal Studies Centre
Founded in 1989, the Canada-US Legal Studies Centre of the UB School of Law serves as the focus of activities on Canadian and comparative US-Canadian legal issues. The Centre focuses on encouraging curricular and research activities, as well hosting and supporting public presentations, conferences and workshops. -
Canada-US Trade Center

Crossing Borders Conference
In the summer of 1995, the Steering Committee of the Golden Horseshoe Educational Alliance decided that a bi-national conference would be an excellent means by which to develop academic relations between students throughout the cross-border region. Crossing Borders became a reality in March of 1996 as students convened at Niagara University to share ideas and discuss a wide range of cross-border issues. Since then, the conference has become an annual event and has flourished, receiving attention from key sectors of the academic community. -
Golden Horseshoe Educational Alliance
The mission of the GHEA is to promote inter-regional academic associations and linkages between individuals/institutions of higher education in the United States and Canada. -
The Great Lakes Program
The program, one of 10 university-based Great Lakes research centers in the U.S. and Canada, to develop, evaluate, and synthesize scientific and technological knowledge on the Great Lakes ecosystem in support of public education and policy information. -
The Regional Institute
Founded in 1997, the Regional Institute at UB works with programs and organizations engaged in building cross-border relationships with Southern Ontario. -
The Niagara Report
A public-private partnership started in the summer of 2005 to monitor opinions on the Canadian-American relationship. -
School of Architecture and Planning
UB’s School of Architecture and Planning highlights the significance of design initiatives and professional practice in Canada. UB students travel to Toronto and other Canadian cities to see new buildings, visit architects’ offices, and develop individual design proposals. -
